CATL Plans to Deploy 1000 Battery Swap Stations Next Year
On December 18th, at the CATL Chocolate Battery Swap Eco-Conference, CATL announced plans to deploy 1000 battery swap stations next year.
According to CATL's official plan, the first 1000 battery swap stations will be built by CATL Electric Service; the next 10,000 stations will be built in collaboration with ecological partners; and the goal of 30,000 battery swap stations will be built by the whole society.
Additionally, CATL Chocolate Battery Swap signed a subscription order for 107,500 chocolate batteries with more than 30 companies today.
It was also noted that CATL's founder, chairman, and CEO, Zeng Yuqun, stated at the conference that by 2030, battery swapping, home charging, and public charging piles will share the market.
Zeng Yuqun said that the company will continue to promote the standardization of battery swapping, with the most critical aspect being the standardization of battery dimensions. "Comparing to fueling, gasoline has grades 92 and 95, and Chocolate Battery Swap will also use two standard battery blocks, which we name as Block 20 and Block 25. By offering different capacities, we provide personalized services to meet the power needs of users." Furthermore, all future battery technologies from CATL will be applied to Chocolate Battery Swap.
