According to South Korean Asia Time news, BYD will officially enter the South Korean passenger car market from January 16, 2025.

BYD denied the news of entering the South Korean car rental market, stating that it will focus on selling passenger electric vehicles to consumers, not rental car business.

BYD's South Korean company has selected DT Networks, Samcheolli EV, Harmony Automobile, Vision Mobility, GENB Mobility, and SS Motors as six dealers in South Korea.

BYD will establish 15 passenger car sales outlets in Seoul, Gyeonggi, Busan, Jeju, and other places in South Korea, with an annual sales target of 10,000 units. BYD personnel have indicated that the certification for the ATTO 3 model (Note: corresponding to Yuan PLUS in China) has been completed.
